South Africa is a culturally diverse country, one nation made up of many peoples, languages, and a multiplicity of traditions and skin tones ranging from ebony to sunburnt pink.

The now retired Anglican Archbishop of Cape Town, Desmond Tutu, coined the term ‘Rainbow Nation’ to encapsulate the unity of multi-culturalism and the coming-together of people of many different races, in a country as wide and welcoming  as his smile.
